The difference between lazy and content... t-shirt

Is it actually possible to fully appreciate that which you haven’t earned? No, it is not. And the proof is in the lack of appreciation. But I’m not talking merely about physical objects; I’m speaking of the concepts that we attached to them, to make them have value to us. So the word “earned” is really about conceptual thought rather than physical action, although that conceptual thought is what will cause whatever physical action follows it. Until you earn the conceptualization of why you shouldn’t touch a boiling pot, you cannot appreciate the advice given to you that told you not to do it. And in order to prevent having to try to replace the hammock that you didn’t set up, and wouldn’t be able to rebuild or replace, were it to collapse, a little understanding of maintenance gained through an appreciation for the hammock, would probably prevent its collapse. And perhaps the hammock, of which I speak, is commonly known by another name too: Civilized Society.
